The Lukla flight alone is worth the trip. Nothing prepares you for that 20-minute flight banking between Himalayan peaks and landing on that tiny uphill runway with a cliff at the end. Nobody ever mentions the food enough in these reviews. The dal bhat in the tea houses is genuinely delicious and the unlimited refills policy is one of the best things that exists at any altitude. The apple pies in Namche bakeries should be internationally famous. The garlic soup at Lobuche saved my soul on a cold evening when everything felt hard. And the farewell dinner in Kathmandu on Day 13 was perfect.

Very well organized throughout. Guide Lakpa was a true professional with great English and encyclopedic mountain knowledge. Altitude management was genuinely impressive — pulse oximeter checks morning and evening, mandatory rest days, conservative daily altitude gain. Zero AMS issues in 14 days. Base Camp was overwhelming. Kala Patthar was transcendent. Worth every dollar, every hour of training.
