The apple pies in Namche bakeries should be internationally famous. The garlic soup at Lobuche saved my soul on a cold evening when everything felt hard. And the farewell dinner in Kathmandu on Day 13 was perfect.

That memory alone justifies the entire trip. The trek itself was extraordinary — the Hillary Bridge, Tengboche, the Khumbu Glacier, Kala Patthar sunrise. Five stars is genuinely not enough.
